Graduate Student Travel Award

The Theory Section Graduate Student Travel Award will be presented to a graduate student who is attending ISA for the first time, demonstrates financial need, and will be presenting a paper with a theoretical focus. Nominees should be members of the International Studies Association. The winner will receive a $500 prize at the Theory Section Business Meeting during the ISA annual convention. If not present, the check will be mailed to the recipient.

Nominations must be accompanied by (1) a brief paragraph demonstrating financial need, (2) the abstract of the theory-focused paper that will be presented at the ISA annual convention, and (3) evidence of the paper’s acceptance for presentation at the ISA annual convention. All materials must be received by the Chair(s) by December 1st, 2017.

The recipient of the award will be determined by the Chair(s) of the Theory Section. The Committee reserves the right not to make an award in any given year.
